Filtering the displayed devices by device name

You can filter according to their names, the devices that are displayed in the BMC PATROL console.

To filter the devices monitored by all Entuity server account instances

1. From the PATROL Console work area, right-click Entuity.
2. Select KM Commands >PATROL KM Administration> Filters >Device Name.
3. In the displayed dialog box, enter a regular expression (regex) to select a group of devices to be monitored. See the table of supported regex characters below.
4. Click Ok.

To filter the devices monitored by a specific Entuity server account instance

1. From the PATROL Console work area, right-click an Entuity server account instance
2. Select KM Commands >PATROL KM Administration> Filters >Device Name
3. In the displayed dialog box, enter a regular expression (regex) to select a group of devices to be monitored. See the table of supported regex characters below.
4. Click Ok.

Regular expression	The following regular expression characters are supported in the filter field: ^ beginning of line $ end of line . match any single character .* This sequence equal to Match All is supported [ ] match any of the characters contained within The following characters are supported: A through Z a through z 0 through 9 _
Text	Text that is searched for matches to the regular expression.  The text variable can be a text string enclosed in double quotation marks.
