Configuring Citrix XenApp in BMC ProactiveNet


This topic provides information about configuring Citrix XenApp by using Central Monitoring Administration.

On the Add Monitor Types dialog, with the Monitoring Profile set to Citrix XenApp, and the Monitor Type set to Citrix XenApp, provide the following details:

XenApp Farm Configuration

XenApp Farm Name

Enter the name of the XenApp farm that you want to monitor.

XenApp Server Name

Enter the name of sever which is XenApp controller in the XenApp farm.

Credentials

User Name

Enter the username required to connect to the XenApp server.

This user must have Citrix View Only admin privileges.

Password

Enter the password required to connect to the XenApp server.

Confirm Password

Re-enter the password required to connect to the XenApp server.

Port Number

Enter the WinRM port number for XenApp server you want to connect to.

Connection Protocol

Select the protocol that will be used for connection. By default, HTTP protocol is used for connection or you can select HTTPS protocol. For HTTPS only self-signed certificate is supported.

Use XenApp Farm Configuration

Select this option to use the same configuration provided for XenApp Server (like credentials, protocol and port) to be used with individual connections for all XenApp servers in the farm.

Server Name Filter

Enter a server name or a regular expression to Include or Exclude XenApp servers from monitoring.

Server Name Filter Type

Select whether to Include or Exclude the XenApp servers mentioned in Server Name Filter from monitoring.

XenApp Performance Data Configuration

XenApp Server Name

Enter the server name or enter a regular expression if you want to configure performance data collection accounts for multiple servers.

Credentials

User Name

Enter the username required to connect to the XenApp server.

 

This user must have Citrix View Only admin privileges.

Password

Enter the password required to connect to the XenApp server.

Confirm Password

Re-enter the password required to connect to the XenApp server.

Port Number

Enter the WinRM port number for XenApp server you want to connect to.

Modify Selection

Select one of the items that you added to the list in the preceding step, and click this button to modify details.

Remove from List

Click this button to remove the configured XenApp server from the list of XenApp servers.

List - XenApp Performance Data Configuration

A list of all configured XenApp Performance Data Accounts will be displayed here.

 

Add to List

Click this option for confirming the configuration information that you provided for XenApp Farm and adding the XenApp Farm to the list of XenApp Farm configuration.

Modify Selection

Select one of the items that you added to the list in the preceding step, and click this button to modify details.

Remove from List

Click this button to remove the configured XenApp farm from the list of XenApp farms.

List - XenApp Farm Configuration

A list of all configured XenApp farms will be displayed here.

 

Reset

Click this option to clear off your configuration details and revert to default settings.

Add

Click this option to add this monitoring configuration. This information is displayed on the Monitor Configuration page.

After you click this option, you can continue to add more objects for monitoring.

Close

Click this option to exit without saving any changes.
