PATROL Agent is unable to update log details
PATROL Agent is unable to update the log details or unable to update the /temp directory.
Probable cause: This error occurs if the PATROL Agent account doesn't belong to the local Administrators group and doesn't have sufficient permissions to run.
Resolution: As a workaround, do the following:
- Log in to the host computer on which the PATROL Agent is installed.
Press Windows + R to open the Run command window.
The Run command window is displayed.
Type lusrmgr.msc, and press Enter.
The Local Users and Groups dialog box is displayed.
- Double-click Users, and verify if the PATROL user belongs to local administrator’s group.
Press Windows + R to open the Run command window.
The Run command window is displayed.
- Type secpol.msc, and press Enter.
- The Local Security Policy dialog box is displayed.
- Go to Local Policies -> User Rights Assignment, and ensure that the PATROL user has all the following permissions:
- Debug programs
- Adjust memory quotas for a process
- Log on as a service
- Allow log on locally
- Profile system performance
- Replace a process level token
- Act as part of operating system
