25.2 enhancements and patches
For a list of recent updates and enhancements across multiple versions, see Release notes and notices.
BMC applies upgrades as described in BMC Helix Upgrade policy. BMC applies upgrades and patches during Maintenance windows.
25.2.02
Enhanced refinement phase in event policiesThe refinement phase of event policies supports the following elements to improve the precision and relevance of event enrichment:

![]() | Pagination support for monitor policiesWith pagination support on the Configuration > Monitor Policies page, easily manage a large number of monitor policies. Additionally, the improved look-and-feel of the Monitor Policies page provides improved performance and usability. For more information, see Defining monitor policies. |
Change the sender's email address in notificationsUse the fromEmailAddressConfig REST API endpoint to customize the email address for sending notification emails in BMC Helix Operations Management. By customizing the sender's email address, you can enjoy the following benefits:
For more information, see Event management endpoints in the REST API. | ![]() |
25.2.01
Change the status of blackout events with REST APIsUse REST APIs to update blackout events to any status. Earlier, you could only change the status of blackout events to Closed. With this enhancement, you can perform all operations on blackout events by using the REST API. You do not need to use the Events page in to update the status of blackout events. For information about updating an event by using REST APIs, see Event management endpoints in the REST API. | ![]() |
![]() | Manage pagination in blackout policiesWith pagination support, configure the number of blackout policies that you want to see on the Configuration > Blackout Policies page. With this enhancement, you can significantly improve system performance and response time. For more information, see Configuring blackout policies. |
Manage advanced filters created by other usersIf you are an administrator, you can update or delete advanced filters that other users have created. With this enhancement, advanced filters created by absent users no longer stay in the system. They can be either updated or deleted and your system remains streamlined with the relevant advanced filters. For more information, see Filtering events. | ![]() |

Group devices according to Agent tagsUse Agent tags as a selection criterion while creating groups. Grouping devices according to Agent tags can extend the benefits of role-based access control. For example, with role-based access control, you can restrict specific functions to specific roles. By grouping devices according to Agent tags, you can further restrict users from within a role to access specific devices. For example, according to their role, operators can only view and manage events. By further grouping devices, you can make sure that only specific operators can access a group of devices that have a specific Agent tag. For more information, see Setting up groups. | ![]() |
![]() | Associate table views with groupsAssociate custom or global table views with groups. With this feature, you can select the way in which events are displayed on the Group Details page. For more information, see the following topics: |
Enhanced autoanomaly baseline calculation to reduce event noiseWith an enhanced baseline calculation for anomaly generation, you can configure the system to automatically generate anomalies only for low or only for high baselines. You can also configure the system to not generate anomaly events at all. With this configuration, you can significantly reduce anomaly event noise and improve system performance. For more information, see the following topics: | ![]() |
![]() | Retrieve matching events for a specified durationWhile creating or updating advanced enrichment policies, use the Specify Lookup duration field to limit the duration to retrieve matching events. This feature improves system performance and reduces event noise by retrieving matching events only for the specified duration. For more information, see Actions for advanced and time-based enrichment. |
Use GetRegexMatches function to extract a list of stringsUse the GetRegexMatches function to extract a list of text strings from the input text that matches the specified regular expression. This feature enhances the text searchability, making it easier to find information. For more information, see Return functions. | ![]() |
