Uploading custom reports and links

When you have written the XML files containing your custom reports, channels, and additional links, you can upload them to BMC Helix Discovery through the UI.

Naming your XML files

Naming the files is important as it specified the order in which the files are processed. This order is important as later definitions for a named report override those loaded earlier.

The directories are parsed in alphabetical order, with numbers before letters.

  • The standard reports are contained in a file called 00reports.xml.
  • The standard additional links are contained in a file called 00additional_links.xml.

The Custom Reports Management page

  1. From the main menu, click the Administration Settings icon, and then select Custom Reports Management.
The Custom Reports Management page is displayed.

      • The Actions menu for custom reports enables you to download or delete the report.
