SNMP Managed Device node

An SNMP Managed Device node represents a device that BMC Discovery does not have sufficient knowledge of to fully discover. It might be a switch, router, or SNMP enabled coffee machine for which we have not yet implemented support.

SNMP Managed Device node lifecycle

The following section describes the scenarios in which a SNMP Managed Device node is created, updated, or removed.

Creation/update

SNMP Managed Device nodes are created and updated in exactly the same way as Network Device nodes.

Removal

SNMP Managed Device nodes are removed in exactly the same way as Network Device nodes.
