Lenovo ThinkSystem Storage Systems

Lenovo ThinkSystem storage systems are discovered through SNMP and modeled by the LenovoThinkSystem pattern. This pattern is triggered by confirmed Lenovo ThinkSystem storage devices, creates a corresponding StorageSystem node, and then links it to discovery access, management, network interfaces, and IP addresses for proper topology mapping.

Procedure

Initial setup

To configure the discovery of Lenovo ThinkSystem storage systems, you need to add corresponding credentials:

  1. Go to Manage > Credentials.
  2. Add new SNMP credentials.

Test credentials

To prevent discovery issues due to invalid credentials, it is recommended to test your credentials before running a scan:

  1. Go to Manage > Credentials.
  2. Go to Action > Test menu next to the credentials entry.

If your test is successful, scan the IP Address of the system.
