IBM XIV Storage Systems
IBM XIV storage systems are discovered through their own IBM XIV embedded Storage Management software. The embedded management software is interrogated to discover any storage entities that it is managing. Once discovered, the storage entities are modeled in BMC Discovery.
Prerequisites
- WBEM credentials for the storage entity. When attempting to discover a storage entity through WBEM/IBM XIV Storage Management, you should ensure that WBEM is enabled.
- Network access on a WBEM port (5988 for http or 5989 for https) from the ADDM server to the storage array.
Supported platforms
- All IBM XIV storage systems supported by the embedded Storage Management software.
- IBM FlashSystem A9000
- IBM FlashSystem A9000R
