The following message states that the creation of the new user is confirmed:

6. Click Close.
7. For security purposes, the new user credentials are temporary, and the Password State is automatically set to expired by default.

8. The new user's password needs to be activated. To do so, log out of IBM Storwize V7000 Unified Storage Management and re-log in with the new user's username and password.

The Password State is now Active.

The new user account can now be used to configure BMC Discovery for IBM Storwize storage.
Because some connectivity issues may exist and cause the storage discovery to fail, it is highly recommended to test the connection to these specific software components.
Testing the connection
The storage patterns rely on software components such as SMI-S providers to discover the storage systems in BMC Discovery.
