23.3.02

Migrate min and max values of entities from TrueSight Capacity Optimization

Use the Migration toolkit provided in BMC Helix Continuous Optimization version 23.3.02 to migrate minimum and maximum values for the metrics of the entities from TrueSight Capacity Optimization.

If you have performed the migration by using the migration toolkit provided in versions earlier than 23.3.02, the minimum and maximum values of the migrated entities might be missing. To resolve this issue, see Troubleshooting-issues-with-the-migration-of-min-and-max-values-of-entities

Support for Rocky Linux 8.x for the Remote ETL Engine and Gateway Server

Rocky Linux 8.x operating system is supported for the Remote ETL Engine and Gateway Server. For a complete list of supported operating systems, see Remote ETL Engine support and Gateway Server support.

Flexibility to filter metrics collected by an application

While configuring Optimizer rules, analyses, or models, you can select the opt:meas:app namespace to differentiate metrics imported by a data source that is collecting metrics from an application, such as a database server. For details, see Adding-a-custom-Optimizer-rule and Editing-the-namespace-and-statistic-selections-for-an-analysis

ETL module enhancements

ETL module

Enhancements

When multiple ETLs or Agents import data from the same database server, multiple entities representing this database server are automatically reconciled into a single entity either as a virtual machine or a generic entity type. The Oracle - Enterprise Manager (OEM) ETL enables such automatic reconciliation by extracting database server instances as generic type.

Support to import:

  • The following HAProxy metrics for pod workloads:
    • NET_HAPROXY_CONNECTIONS
    • NET_HAPROXY_BYTES_IN
    • NET_HAPROXY_BYTES_OUT
  • The ST_CONSUMED_CAPACITY metric for persistent volume
