Saving and exporting virtualization study results

After you review the study results, you can export the results and recommendations from the study into different formats, to create a formal server consolidation report that can be shared with other individuals across the organization.

To save a study result

Follow the steps given below to save the study and its results for viewing and modifcation at a later time:

  1. Enter values for Study Name and, optionally, Description at the top of the page.

  2. Click Save at the bottom of the page.

    Information

    If a study with the specified name already exists, confirm if it should be overwritten.

  3. After a study result is saved, the study may be viewed and edited at a later time from the Saved Studies page. For more information, see Editing-and-managing-saved-virtualization-studies.

To export a study result

Follow the steps given below to export the study results to a report:

  1. On the Results page, click:
    1. View Results as PDF, or
    2. View Results as RTF, or 
    3. View Results as XLS
  2. From the File Download dialog, click Open to view the report.

To print a study result

On the Results page, click Print.
