Backing up and restoring connector configurations
By backing up the configuration of all connectors created in BMC Helix Intelligent Integrations, you can preserve a known working setup before making changes or upgrades. Restoring from a backup lets you quickly recover from errors, failed updates, or environment resets. Overall, the backup and restore process ensures business continuity and eliminates the need to manually reconfigure connectors.
To back up the current configuration of connectors
- On the toolbar, click Backup/Restore.
- On the Backup and Restore configurations dialog box, update the backup file name if needed.
By default, the file is created with the following naming convention: BACKUP-timestamp. Click Save
next to the file name.
The backup entry appears on the Backup and Restore Configurations dialog box.
- (Optional) Click Download
to download the backup file.
To delete a backup configuration
- On the toolbar, click Backup/Restore.
- On the Backup and Restore Configurations dialog box, click Delete
next to the backup configuration you want to delete.
To restore the configuration of connectors
- On the toolbar, click Backup/Restore.
On the Backup and Restore Configurations dialog box, perform the following actions:
- To restore a previous configuration, select the configuration.
- To restore configuration from a file, click Import from file and browse to the backup file.
- To restore from the last saved configuration, select autosave.
Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
