25.4 enhancements and patches
BMC Helix applies upgrades as described in BMC Helix Upgrade policy. BMC Helix applies upgrades and patches during Maintenance windows.
25.4.01
Collect additional application metrics data from BMC Stackify
In addition to the existing application metrics, collect user satisfaction metrics, such as the number of fast, sluggish, slow, and failed requests for the application from BMC Stackify. The metrics JSLT has been updated to support these metrics.
Limit the metrics data ingested from BMC Stackify by using the following options in the Select Application Metric Type parameter:
- ApplicationMonitor: Collects metrics for the Key Transaction monitors and errors for the application.
- ApplicationPerformance: Collects metrics for the average page load time for each application component.
- ApplicationPerformanceResource: Collects user satisfaction metrics, such as the number of fast, sluggish, slow, and failed requests for each route in the application.
Collecting limited metrics data from BMC Stackify ensures that only high-value, actionable metrics are received by BMC Helix applications.
For more information, see Integrating with BMC Stackify.

Limit the event data ingested from Zabbix based on the event state
Fetch events from Zabbix filtered by their state (suppressed, normal, or all events) by using the Events State parameter. Collecting limited event data from Zabbix ensures that only high-value, actionable events are sent to BMC Helix applications, reducing noise and avoiding unnecessary event ingestion.
For more information, see Integrating with Zabbix.

Enhancements for the BMC Helix IT Operations Management on-premises users
BMC Helix IT Operations Management (BMC Helix ITOM) version 25.4 supports deploying the BMC Helix Intelligent Integrations services by using the SWP_INTELLIGENT_INTEGRATIONS parameter. These services offer the following capabilities:
II Admin role: BMC Helix ITOM supports the II Admin role to manage connectors and configurations in the BMC Helix Intelligent Integrations on-premises gateway instances for which authentication is enabled. Instead of using a tenant administrator role to manage the connectors and configurations, you can create a user with the II Admin role in BMC Helix Portal and use it for all configuration tasks, thereby improving security and operational flexibility. In addition, you no longer need to manually configure the on-premises gateway for authentication with BMC Helix ITOM.
For more information, see User roles.Communication with the BMC Helix ITOM object storage via a gateway proxy service: In high-availability deployments of the BMC Helix Intelligent Integrations on-premises gateway, use a gateway proxy service for communication between the on-premises gateway instances and the BMC Helix ITOM on-premises object storage. Deploying a proxy service before the object storage improves reliability and streamlines connectivity. You no longer need to manually provide the object storage details in the docker_compose.yaml file when configuring the on-premises gateway instances for high availability.
For more information, see Configuring the on-premises gateway for high availability.
Collect events and metrics from a third-party product by using the generic collector
Use the generic collector to collect events and metrics data from a webhook-based third-party product for which an out-of-the-box connector is not available. The collector is available for the BMC Helix Intelligent Integrations on-premises deployments and uses a webhook mechanism to collect data.
For more information, see Integrating with third-party products by using the generic collector via webhook.

Communicate with the BMC Helix object storage via a proxy server
In high-availability deployments of the on-premises gateway, you can use a proxy server between the on-premises gateway and BMC Helix object storage. Using a proxy server before the object storage enhances security and streamlines connectivity.
If a proxy is already configured for the BMC Helix applications (destination), the same proxy is used for communication with the object storage.
For more information, see Configuring the on-premises gateway for high availability.

Collect additional metrics from BMC Stackify
In addition to the existing device metrics, you can now collect data for the application metrics from BMC Stackify. The metrics JSLT has been updated to support these metrics.
For more information, see Integrating with BMC Stackify.

View event source details in BMC Helix Operations Management
In BMC Helix Operations Management, you can easily identify the source of an event. When an event is received via BMC Helix Intelligent Integrations, additional slots display the key details, such as:
- Host name
- Port
- Source stream name
- Source stream ID
These details enhance the traceability of an event and help you relate the event to its source.
