BMC Helix Developer Tools overview

BMC Helix Developer Tools connects with multiple products to collect event, service, and topology data. It uses a Fluentd-based framework for integration with BMC and third-party data sources to ingest data for monitoring in BMC Helix AIOps.

Use it to build custom integrations for third-party data sources that do not have out-of-the-box integrations. You can also build integrations to collect logs from various sources, such as Amazon Web Services, Kubernetes, Windows- and Linux-based applications, and so on.

BMC Helix Developer Tools leverages BMC Helix Portal to provide single sign-on authentication for users.

Product roles

BMC Helix Portal is where you can create and edit users and user groups, and assign any of the available permissions, such as creating, modifying, viewing, deleting, or managing objects. You cannot create new permissions.

Use the following information for assigning permissions to BMC Helix Developer Tools users. For information about assigning permissions, seeSetting up roles and permissions in the BMC Helix Portal documentation.
