Authentication support for the on-premises gateway

The BMC Helix Intelligent Integrations on-premises gateway supports BMC Helix Single Sign-On (SSO) authentication. With this authentication, the on-premises gateway users are required to provide credentials to authenticate themselves. To support authentication, you need to execute the iig_auth.sh script with the auth option when deploying or upgrading the on-premises gateway.

For more information, see:

Support for the II Admin role

BMC Helix Intelligent Integrations supports a new role, II Admin. The users with this role can access the BMC Helix Intelligent Integrations UI, and view, create, edit, or delete connectors.

Users who neither are assigned this role nor the permissions associated with the role, can still log on to the UI. However, they cannot view the configured connectors, or perform any actions in the UI.

For more information, see BMC-Helix-Intelligent-Integrations-overview.

Mark devices for deletion in BMC Helix Operations Management

If a device in BMC Helix Operations Management does not collect metrics data from a third-party product for a particular time period, you can mark it for deletion by using the shouldSupportTopologyLifecycle and itemExpiryDuration parameters.

For example, if you want to mark those devices that do not collect metrics data for 5 hours, set the shouldSupportTopologyLifecycle parameter to true and set the itemExpiryDuration parameter to 5 HOURS.

You can mark the devices for the following third-party products:
