Product overview
BMC Helix Intelligent Integrations
BMC Helix Intelligent Integrations offers a systematic, automated approach to distributing valuable operations data to the applications and teams best positioned to achieve desired business outcomes. This data includes event, metric, and topology information from all domains (cloud-based, on-premises, or hybrid).
Liberate data from application, network, storage, database, cloud, and other siloed IT operations domains by using the simple, scalable, resilient, and easy-to-configure BMC Helix Intelligent Integrations. Use this data in AIOps, advanced IT analytics, decision support, and visualization tools to derive actionable insights.
BMC Helix Intelligent Integrations uses REST APIs to communicate with data sources and offers the following benefits:
- Enables fast and easy automated integrations, thus saving time.
- Provides continuous data streams from the connected data sources, thus minimizing the resources required to continuously track the data sources for streaming.
- Provides a click-and-connect capability to configure an integration, thus reducing the effort that might be required to integrate with the data sources; for example, the work required to write a custom script to collect data.
The following video (3:19) provides a high-level overview of BMC Helix Intelligent Integrations.
The following diagram shows how BMC Helix Intelligent Integrations collects data from various data sources and sends it to various BMC Helix applications.
BMC Helix Developer Tools
As a tenant administrator, you can use BMC Helix Developer Tools to integrate with multiple products to collect event, service, and topology data.
BMC Helix Developer Tools uses a Fluentd-based framework for integration with BMC and third-party data sources to ingest data for monitoring in BMC Helix AIOps. Use it to build custom integrations for the third-party data sources that do not have out-of-the-box integrations. You can also build integrations to collect logs from various sources such as Amazon Web Services, Kubernetes, Windows- and Linux-based applications, and so on.
Roles and permissions
BMC Helix Portal is where you can create and edit users and user groups, and assign any of the available permissions, such as creating, modifying, viewing, deleting, or managing objects. You cannot create new permissions.
Use the following information for assigning permissions to the BMC Helix Developer Tools users. For information about assigning permissions, seeSetting up roles and permissions in the BMC Helix Portal documentation.
