BMC Helix Operations Managementis a part of the BMC Helix IT Operations Management (ITOM) solution and is a SaaS and an on-premises containerized solution. It collects data for monitoring and ensures the availability of your IT infrastructure by detecting anomalies in the system before they become problems.
BMC Helix Intelligent Automation connects with BMC Helix Operations Management to collect specific events and forward them to any external third-party application. Suppose you are using multiple tools in your organization to monitor and track events. In that case, this capability helps track all relevant events in one single application so that they can be monitored, acted on, and resolved, restoring the health of your system.
Before you connect with BMC Helix Operations Management, learn more about how event data is forwarded:
Event data is forwarded as it is received. No data transformation is applied.
In the third-party application, event data is displayed by the modified time.
BMC Helix Intelligent Automation does not handle event deduplication. If your third-party application supports identifying and eliminating duplicate events, you must enable it before configuring the connection.
Events are forwarded based on a schedule defined in the policy, which runs after the policy is published. Events that are generated before the policy is published are not forwarded, even if the scheduled date and time start before the policy is published.
