Installing Integration for BMC Remedy Service Desk


To install Integration for BMC Remedy Service Desk , ensure that you install the following BMC components in the specified order:

  1. BMC Remedy IT Service Management (ITSM)
  2. BMC ProactiveNet CMDB Extensions
  3. BMC ProactiveNet installation program

To install, start, and configure Integration for BMC Remedy Service Desk, perform the following steps:

  1. Install BMC Remedy IT Service Management.
  2. Install BMC ProactiveNet CMDB Extensions, which includes the Integration for BMC Remedy Service Desk- AR System module.
  3. Install the BMC ProactiveNet Server. The BMC ProactiveNet Server installation program automatically installs the integration module of Integration for BMC Remedy Service Desk.
  4. Restart the BMC Remedy Action Request System server. For more information, see the Installing section of the BMC Remedy Action Request System 8.1 online technical documentation.
  5. To start Integration for BMC Remedy Service Desk, perform the post installation tasks, as described in Post-installation-tasks-for-Integration-for-BMC-Remedy-Service-Desk.
  6. Configure Integration for BMC Remedy Service Desk.
