Connecting SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise to the database

You must connect SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise to Oracle database using Designer (Universe Design Tool for SAP BusinessObjects Platform 4.0 SP4). You can create multiple connections using Designer (Universe Design Tool for SAP Business Intelligence Platform 4.0 SP4). Only one connection can be defined for each universe. The database connection is saved with the universe.

Note

Before connecting to the database, ensure that you have successfully imported the BMC ProactiveNet Performance Management universe and reports to SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise.
