Verifying the BMC CMDB Web Registry installation


You can verify that the BMC CMDB – Web Registry (formerly called BMC Atrium Core) product was installed successfully by using the following procedures.

To review the installation logs

  1. If you just completed installing BMC CMDB - Web Registry and the installer prompts you to view the installation log, click View Log and skip to step 3.
  2. If you already exited the installation host, perform the following steps:
    1. Log on to the BMC CMDB - Web Registry host.
    2. Open the atriumcore_install_log.txt installation log file.
  3. In the log, verify whether any error messages were reported.
  4. If a SEVERE or WARNING error message was reported, consult the Known-and-corrected-issues and Troubleshooting-the-installation-migration-or-upgrade sections. You may also contact BMC Customer Support for additional help.

To perform post-installation checks

To verify that BMC CMDB - Web Registry is successfully installed, launch a web browser and verify that you are able to access the following URLs:

  • http://<AtriumWebRegistryHost>:<httpPort>/cmdbws/server/cmdbws.wsdl
    The default HTTP port is 8080. 
  • https://<AtriumWebRegistryHost>:<httpsPort>/cmdbws/server/cmdbws.wsdl
    The default HTTPS port is 7776.   

 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
