Managing disks for a server


This topic discusses the various tasks you can perform to manage the system disks for a server in a service offering.

To view the system disks for a server

  1. Access the My Services tab from one of the following:
    • BMC Cloud Lifecycle Management — My Cloud Services Console
    • BMC Cloud Lifecycle Management — Tenant Administration Console
    • BMC Cloud Lifecycle Management — Administration Console (Service Instances workspace)
  2. Select the service instance containing the server that you want to change.
  3. Click Servers from the link bar.
  4. From the list on the left, select the service offering instance for which you want to manage the server disks.
  5. In the Details pane, locate the Server Disks table.

Note

For a Physical Server Instance, the System Disks table displays the full disk size available to the physical server. Specific partitions are not listed

To remove a system disk from a server

  1. Access the My Servicestab from one of the following:
    • BMC Cloud Lifecycle Management — My Cloud Services Console
    • BMC Cloud Lifecycle Management — Tenant Administration Console
    • BMC Cloud Lifecycle Management — Administration Console (Service Instances workspace)
  2. Select the service instance containing the server that you want to change.
  3. Click Servers from the link bar.
  4. In the System Disks table, select the disk in the table that you want to delete.
  5. Click the Delete System Disk icon delete icon.gif.
    You can view the status of this operation by clicking the Activities tab.

 

 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
