Adding Suspend Resume to the user interface

This topic describes the steps you perform on the enterprise BMC Remedy Import Tool to create a custom operator action that enables users to use the Suspend Resume feature. In this procedure, you add a custom operator action for a suspend and resume feature to the Operator Actions menu on the BMC Cloud Lifecycle Management My Cloud Services Console and write workflows that control the suspend or resume process.

Before you begin

  • Ensure that you have downloaded OpenStack Provider 1.0.00 Suspend-Resume for CLM 3.1.00.zip and extracted all the .arxfiles.

    Note

You need to perform the import process for each of the 4 .arx data file separately:

    • suspend_operator_action.arx
    • suspend_locale.arx
    • resume_operator_action.arx
    • resume_locale.arx
  • Ensure that you have Administrative privileges on the computer on which you are running the .arx files.
  • Ensure that the BMC Remedy Import Tool is installed on your computer.
