Implementing Suspend Resume
This section describes how to implement the functionality to suspend or resume provisioned VMs or servers from the BMC Cloud Lifecycle Management My Cloud Services Console. Although each implementation of suspend and resume must be customized to the particular environment, you can use these instructions as a guide.
The customization involves:
- Adding a Suspend and Resume item to the Operator Actions menu of the My Cloud Services Console
- Creating a dialog box that displays when the Suspend or Resume menu item is chosen
- Creating workflows that are triggered when the user clicks the button in the dialog box
- Creating an active link that launches the Suspend or Resume workflow

To implement Suspend Resume functionality, you must be familiar with:
- BMC Remedy Import Tool
- BMC Remedy Developer Studio
To implement Suspend Resume functionality
- Use BMC Remedy Import Tool to add Suspend and Resume options to the Operator Actions menu, as described in Adding-Suspend-Resume-to-the-user-interface.
- Use the BMC Remedy Developer Studio to create Suspend Resume active links, as described in Creating-Suspend-Resume-active-links.
