Managing VLB pools by server


Perform these tasks to manage virtual load balancer (VLB) pools for servers for your organization:

Note

If a server is part of the shared network infrastructure, meaning that the server is a shared resource, you cannot modify VLB pools for the server.

To add a VLB pool

The macro unmigrated-inline-wiki-markup from Confluence is no longer available.

To remove a VLB pool

  1. From the Service Instances pane of My Cloud Services Console, double-click a service instance to display its server or servers.
  2. Select a server and click the Manage Load Balancer icon virtualLBicon.jpg.  The Edit Load Balancer Settings dialog appears.
  3. Highlight the VLB pool you want to remove.
  4. Click the Remove Load Balancer Pool icon  minusicon.jpg to remove the highlighted VLB pool.  A confirmation deletion pop up appears.
  5. Click Yes to confirm permanent deletion of the VLB pool.

To enable or disable a VLB pool

  1. From the Service Instances pane of My Cloud Services Console, double-click a service instance to display its server or servers.
  2. Select a server and click the Manage Load Balancer icon virtualLBicon.jpg.  The Edit Load Balancer Settings dialog appears.
  3. Highlight the VLB pool you want to enable or disable.highlightedVLBpool.jpg
  4. Click the Enable Pool icon  enablepoolicon.jpg or the Disable Pool icon  disablepoolicon.jpg to change the status of the highlighted VLB for the server.
