Validating import and export actions in eZDeploy
After you have imported an eZDeploy package, perform the following procedures:
- To verify the success of an import
- To change the network interface card details
After you have exported a service as an eZDeploy package, validate the export.
To verify the success of an import
- Go to the BMC Cloud Lifecycle Management Blueprint console and locate the blueprint with the prefix followed by the blueprint name (if you did not apply a custom prefix during import).
- Open the imported blueprint and check for the following items:
- Functional and deployment models
- System packages and software packages
- Whether installable resources attached to the models
The following figure shows a BMC custom prefix applied on the Virtual Guest Package (VGP) name and displayed as an Installable Resource:
To change the network interface card details
- Go to the BMC Cloud Lifecycle Management Blueprint console and locate the imported blueprint.
By default, you will find the network tags added in the imported blueprint. - Open the imported blueprint and go to Service Deployment Definition.
- Select Deployment Definition.
- Edit Resource set.
- Open the Network Resources tab, make the changes that you need.
- If options were imported, go to the Service Catalog console, open Options Editor, and look for options and option choices with the prefix eZ_ followed by the option name (if you did not apply a custom prefix during import).
You can now select the imported options or option choices manually while creating a service offering from the eZDeploy imported service blueprint.
To validate imported service offering
Go to the Service Catalog console and locate the service with the prefix followed by the service name (if you did not apply a custom prefix during export).
You can view the imported service offering with the default prefix . The following figure displays the custom prefix BMC applied to the service and the service offering names:
