Customizing Appliance Provider workflow

This topic details how you can customize the implementation of VMware_Integration workflows of the Appliance Provider to integrate BMC Cloud Lifecycle Management with any supported third-party platform (for example, VMware).

The Appliance Provider consists of the following main modules:

  • The CLM_Integration module handles all the BMC Cloud Lifecycle Management specific functionality like Cloud Service Management (CSM) request and response parsing.
  • The Platform_Integration module is an implementation of VMware and provides a VMware-specific implementation of the standard BMC Cloud Lifecycle Management operations. 

You can customize the implementation of VMware_Integration workflows of the Appliance Provider:

Note

To run any pre- or postworkflow before any action (for example, Create Virtual Guest), add workflows with prefixes Pre or Post to the VMware_Integration module for the respective action. For example, for Create Virtual Guest, you must add the following workflows:

  • Pre Create Virtual Guest Implementation
  • Post Create Virtual Guest Implementation
