Getting started with the WAMP on Windows 2008 R2 ZipKit


WAMP refers to a software stack consisting of the Microsoft Windows operating system, the Apache web server, the MySQL database, and one of the PHP, Perl, or Python programming languages. This combination is a common platform for web application development and deployment.

Where to download the ZipKit

  • Download the WAMP ZipKit (WAMP_on_Windows_2008_R2.eZ) from BMC Communities.
  • Download Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0, Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Service Pack 1 x86 and x64 versions, Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package (x86) and MySQL 5.6.12  package from the following locations:

Prerequisite for the ZipKit

Ensure that you have created a Windows 64 bit 2008 R2 template in the vCenter.
