Configuring the VDI Orchestration ZipKit
To set up an operational environment, perform the following configurations after installation:
Before you begin
- Ensure that BMC Atrium Orchestrator Grid Manager version 7.6.02.04, BMC Remedy Developer Studio, and BMC Remedy Action Request System version 8.0 or 8.1 are installed.
- Ensure that you have the BMC Atrium Orchestrator repository URL and user credentials.
Ensure that you have created a user profile (for example, Demo) in BMC Remedy AR System with the AR Administrator role.
To configure Active Directory integration
Create and configure an Atrium Integrator job for the out-of-the-box LDAP integration.

To configure BMC Atrium Orchestrator components
Configure the adapters, modules, and schedules for the VDI Orchestration ZipKit, using BMC Atrium Orchestrator.

To configure BMC Remedy AR System components
Perform the following tasks using BMC Remedy AR System for the VDI Orchestration ZipKit:
- Define the orchestrator configuration, approval process, and OS entries.
- Configure filters, escalations, and custom data.
- Import Service Request Definitions (SRDs) and make them available online.

To flush cache settings from BMC Remedy Mid Tier
After you have imported the SRDs and created the entitlement rule, flush the cache settings of the BMC Remedy Mid Tier.
- In the web browser, type the http://ITSMServerName:8080/arsys/shared/config/config.jsp URL.
- Press Enter.
This action displays the BMC Remedy Mid Tier - Configuration Tool logon page. - Enter the password to access the BMC Remedy Mid Tier - Configuration Tool.
- In the navigation pane on the left, click Cache Settings.
- Click Flush Cache.
This flushes the mid tier cache.
