Starting, stopping, and re-starting SAP systems


While operating an SAP system landscape, you might encounter situations where you may want to start, stop or re-start an existing SAP system. 

To start, stop, and re-start an SAP system

  1. Log on to the Cloud Portal.
  2. Navigate to Service Instances.
  3. Click any existing ERP service.
  4. In the toolbar, click Modify Actions Modify Actions icon_.jpg and select Start/Stop SAP System from the drop-down menu.

    The SAP ERP 6.0 EHP5 ABAP based on NW7.02 - RHEL/Oracle screen appears.

  5. Depending on your requirement you can select any one of the following options and click Next:
    • Start SAP ERP Service
    • Stop SAP ERP Service
    • Restart SAP ERP System

  6. Click Submit

    After you submit the request, based on the option you selected, the system start, stop, or re-start starts.

 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
