Exporting or importing a service blueprint
You can export or import service blueprint .json files as needed.
When you export a blueprint, the Service Definition (the functional model) and the Service Deployment Definition (the deployment model) blueprints are combined into a single .json file, along with some additional information. Only these type of files that are exported from the Service Blueprint editor can be successfully imported back.
You can export a service blueprint or deployment blueprint from a development server and then import them into a production server.
You can currently import only two versions of service blueprints:
- 1.0 (equivalent to BMC CLM 2.1)
- 2.0 (equivalent to BMC CLM 3.0)
For example, if the service blueprint version is 1.0, it was created with the Service Blueprint UI that was part of BMC CLM 2.1.
