Configuring post-deployment actions (for the service deployment definition)
In the Post Deployment Actions tab on the Service Deployment Definitions tab, you can select a BMC Atrium Orchestrator workflow that runs a particular action after the service deployment definition (SDD) is provisioned. For example, you can run a workflow to create directories on the disk.
Currently, only the AO Workflow is supported as a post-deployment action for the SDD.
To configure post-deployment actions (for the service deployment definition)
- Click the Post Deployment Actions tab.
- Click New
. An AO Workflow action is added to the Action Type column.
- For each action in the Action Type column, click in the Action column and enter the action to perform. Include any parameters that the action requires. For information on context items and parameters, see the BMC Atrium Orchestrator online documentation on context items and System parameters
Use the delineated AO Workflow path — <Module>:<Name>
For example, enter:
MyProvisioningActions:UpdateDNS
You must ensure that the AO Workflow is actually available in BMC Atrium Orchestrator. For information about workflows, see the BMC Atrium Orchestrator online technical documentation. - Specify a sequence for the each action by clicking the up or down arrows at right or clicking in the Sequence column and entering a number that represents a position in the deployment sequence.
- Click Save.
The XML for the AO workflow is generated.
