Creating Suspend Resume active links


This topic describes how to create active links in BMC Remedy AR System that launches the BMC AR workflows which handles the Suspend Resume requests. You can use the BMC Remedy Developer Studio to import the respective .def files for suspend and resume, to create the active links.

Before you begin

  • Ensure that you have downloaded the OpenStack Provider 1.0.00 Suspend-Resume for CLM 3.1.00.zip and extracted the suspend.def and resume.def files.
  • Ensure that you have Administrative privileges on the computer on which you are running the .def files.
  • Ensure that the BMC Remedy Developer studio is installed where you need to import the .def files.

To create active link for Suspend operation

Perform the following steps to import the .def file for the Suspend operation:

  1. Logon to the BMC Remedy Developer Studio as an Administrator.

  2. Click File > Import. This displays the Import window as shown in the figure below:

  3. Select ObjectDefinitions and click Next.
  4. Click Next. This displays the Import Objects window as shown in the figure below:

  5. In the Import File field, browse and select the suspend.def file. 

    Note

    Select resume.def file for creating the active link for Resume operation.

  6. Click Next. This displays the selected object details in the Object Selection as shown in the figure below:

  7. Click Finish. This will create the active link for the Suspend operation. 

    Note

    Ignore any permission errors.

To create active link for Resume operation

Perform steps 1-7 to create the active link for the Resume operation.
