Configuring the infrastructure

Typically you perform the activities of the setup phase of your Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) integration only once.

These activities include defining a physical location record in the BMC Atrium CMDB that extends to the BMC Cloud Lifecycle Management database. You must enter the reconciliation ID from the physical location record into the Amazon EC2 module, which is presented in the BMC Atrium Orchestrator Server.

The Amazon EC2 module contains the BMC Atrium Orchestrator workflow that enables you to perform operations on Amazon EC2 components. After you have updated the Amazon EC2 module, you supply the BMC Atrium Orchestrator parameters that are required to define your Amazon EC2 provider type instance.

Where to go from here

Your first task is to define the physical location record.
