Creating DML entries for Cisco HCS

This topic describes how to create Definitive Media Library (DML) entries for the Cisco HCS Provider.

Note

You cannot use the Product Catalog console to edit a DML entry that was auto-onboarded.

To auto-onboard the DML entries

DML entries are auto-onboarded based on the templates configured in the vCenter. The synchronization frequency for auto-onboarding is derived from the scheduler frequency setting in the runtime schedule configuration when you create a Product Catalog entry.

Note

New templates are onboarded with every synchronization. However, if templates are deleted in the vCenter, you must onboard them manually. The auto-onboarded templates have the template prefix as specified in the General settings of the Cisco HCS configurations.

To change the synchronization frequency for auto-onboarding

  1. Log on to the BMC Atrium Orchestrator Grid Manager.
  2. Click the Manage tab, and click the Schedules tab.
The schedules that are set for the grid are displayed, as shown in the following figure:

  3. Click the Create Product Catalog Entry link, shown in the following figure:

The scheduler details are displayed, as shown in the following figure:
