Cisco HCS Architecture


This topic describes the Cisco HCS architecture and how the BMC Cloud Lifecycle Management and Cisco HCS solutions are integrated. The integrated solution enables Cisco partners to configure and provision a Cisco HCS service (for example, Voice, Presence, Voicemail, or Contact Center). 

Integration diagram

The following diagram illustrates the integration methods and flow between each environment that makes up Cisco HCS and BMC Cloud Lifecycle Management integration solution. The diagram presents only a high-level view of the requirements for deploying the solution.

The BMC Atrium Orchestrator mediator layer acts as a thin layer for the requests coming from BMC Cloud Lifecycle Management and supports the following operations:

  • Provision or decommission a service
  • Start or stop a provisioned virtual machine
  • Get network data (such as gateway or net-mask of the provisioned virtual machine)
