Do you need to install or upgrade to Service Pack 1?
Service Pack 1 for version 3.0 is a full product installation. If you are installing BMC Cloud Lifecycle Management for the first time, install Service Pack 1 for version 3.0 directly.
If you already have BMC Cloud Lifecycle Management installed, Service Pack 1 might be an optional upgrade for you. Consult the following table to determine whether you need to upgrade your BMC Cloud Lifecycle Management environment.

Before you perform the upgrade
If you are using the existing BMC Cloude Lifecycle Management version 2.1.x host to launch the version 3.0 SP1 installation program, then perform the following tasks prior to upgrading:
- Backup all the installer-related files from the c:\windows\temp and %temp% folders.
- Delete all the files from both of the above locations.
