Upgrading to version 2.1 SP2


Note

You can upgrade to SP2 only from the following versions of BMC Cloud Lifecycle Management:

  • 2.1 SP1 Patch 1
  • 2.1 SP1
  • 2.1

The process of upgrading to BMC Cloud Lifecycle Management version 2.1 SP2 requires that you perform multiple procedures:

  1. Run the BMC Cloud Lifecycle Management installer according to the upgrade procedure.
  2. Upgrade the required products and components by using the appropriate upgrade scenario, which includes applying hotfixes:

To upgrade from version 2.1

  1. Upgrade products and components in the following order:
    1. BMC BladeLogic Server Automation (the Application Server and the Console)
    2. PXE (preboot execution environment), if installed in your environment
    3. BMC BladeLogic Network Automation
    4. BMC Network Automation – Device Agent, if installed in your environment
    5. BMC Cloud Lifecycle Management cloud DB extensions
    6. BMC Cloud Lifecycle Management Platform Manager (OSGi) server
    7. BMC Cloud Lifecycle Management cloud portal AR extensions
  2. Apply only the BMC Atrium Core hotfixes.
  3. Apply the BMC Remedy hotfixes.
  4. Apply the required hotfixes for SP2.

To upgrade from 2.1 SP1 or 2.1 SP1 Patch 1

  1. Upgrade products and components in the following order:
    1. BMC BladeLogic Network Automation
    2. BMC Network Automation – Device Agent
    3. BMC Cloud Lifecycle Management cloud DB extensions
    4. BMC Cloud Lifecycle Management Platform Manager (OSGi) server
    5. BMC Cloud Lifecycle Management cloud portal AR extensions
  2. Apply the required hotfixes for SP2.
