Upgrading to version 2.1 SP2
The process of upgrading to BMC Cloud Lifecycle Management version 2.1 SP2 requires that you perform multiple procedures:
- Run the BMC Cloud Lifecycle Management installer according to the upgrade procedure.
- Upgrade the required products and components by using the appropriate upgrade scenario, which includes applying hotfixes:
To upgrade from version 2.1
- Upgrade products and components in the following order:
- BMC BladeLogic Server Automation (the Application Server and the Console)
- PXE (preboot execution environment), if installed in your environment
- BMC BladeLogic Network Automation
- BMC Network Automation – Device Agent, if installed in your environment
- BMC Cloud Lifecycle Management cloud DB extensions
- BMC Cloud Lifecycle Management Platform Manager (OSGi) server
- BMC Cloud Lifecycle Management cloud portal AR extensions
- Apply only the BMC Atrium Core hotfixes.
- Apply the BMC Remedy hotfixes.
- Apply the required hotfixes for SP2.
To upgrade from 2.1 SP1 or 2.1 SP1 Patch 1
- Upgrade products and components in the following order:
- BMC BladeLogic Network Automation
- BMC Network Automation – Device Agent
- BMC Cloud Lifecycle Management cloud DB extensions
- BMC Cloud Lifecycle Management Platform Manager (OSGi) server
- BMC Cloud Lifecycle Management cloud portal AR extensions
- Apply the required hotfixes for SP2.
