Host name customization

When you use BMC Cloud Lifecycle Management to provision service offering instances, you can generate customized host names. You can use the following elements so that you can create host names according to standards for your organization:

• A pattern of prefixes with or without static strings
• Number padding
• Customizable separator characters
• Incrementing numbers

Compute placement customization

BMC Cloud Lifecycle Management now enables you to make placement decisions for compute resources. When you provision a service offering instance, you can now decide, for example, to which virtual cluster to provision a VM. For more information, see Enable compute placement customization.
