Configuring Platform Manager
The following section provides the steps for configuring the Platform Manager in a high availability and non-high availability environments.
To configure Platform Manager in a high availability (HA) environment
- On the Platform Manager host, navigate to the <Platform Manager installation directory>\configuration folder.
- Stop the BMC_CSM service.
- Open the config.ini file and add the following parameter before the org.osgi.service.http.port=8080 entry:
org.osgi.service.http.ipaddress=<Cluster IP address> - Clear the cache and log files:
- Navigate to the C:\ProgramFiles\BMCSoftware\BMCCloudLifeCycleManagement\Platform_Manager\configuration subdirectory and delete the org.eclipse.osgi folder.
- Navigate to the C:\ProgramFiles\BMCSoftware\BMCCloudLifeCycleManagement\Platform_Manager\cache subdirectory and delete all files.
- Navigate to the C:\ProgramFiles\BMCSoftware\BMCCloudLifeCycleManagement\Platform_Manager\Logs subdirectory and clear all log files.
If BMC ProactiveNet and Performance Manager is not integrated with BMC Cloud Lifecycle Management, ensure that the vg_sensors_onboard attribute is set to False in the Provider.JSON file.
- Start the BMC_CSM service and monitor csm log files, which are located in C:\ProgramFiles\BMCSoftware\BMCCloudLifeCycleManagement\Platform_Manager\Logs.
To configure Platform Manager in a non-HA (stand alone) environment
- On Windows, open the config.ini file and add the following parameter before the org.osgi.service.http.port=8080 entry:
org.osgi.service.http.ipaddress=<Cluster IP address> - On Linux, stop and start the bmccsm service from the /etc/init.d/ directory.
