The following components are installed with the BMC ProactiveNet Data Collection Host. The components are installed through the BMC Cloud Lifecycle Management installation process, or through the BMC ProactiveNet Data Collection Host standalone installation process.
- For BMC ProactiveNet 8.6.02
- BMC PATROL Agents version 3.8.50.01
- BMC Performance Manager for Virtual Servers Knowledge Modules version 2.9.60.03
- For BMC ProactiveNet 8.6.02.01 service pack
- BMC PATROL Agents version 3.9.00
- BMC Performance Manager for Virtual Servers Knowledge Modules version 2.9.70
By default, the knowledge module used with BMC Cloud Lifecycle Management enables a limited number of attributes for cloud monitoring. To enable data collection for all attributes, first add the agent host names to the PATROL Configuration Manager, and then enable the attributes in the knowledge module.
Use the following procedures to enable data collection for all attributes in a full BMC ProactiveNet Enterprise environment.
Before you begin
See Applying-a-Full-Use-BMC-ProactiveNet-license.

To reinitialize a BMC PATROL Agent
Select the procedure appropriate for your environment.
For BMC ProactiveNet 8.6.02
- On the left pane of the PATROL Configuration Manager, right-click a BMC PATROL Agent name and select Configuration > Get.
- After successful completion of the GET action in the Job Status Information window, click OK.
On the right pane, expand the folder RuleSets > PCM > backup > hostNameand locate the following rules. The parameters on your system might vary, depending on your virtual machine monitors and/or Xen environment.
