Connecting the BMC ProactiveNet Server to the BMC BladeLogic Application Server
Connect the BMC ProactiveNet Server to the BMC BladeLogic Application Server using one of the following procedures.
To connect by enabling BMC BladeLogic Server Automation web services
- On the BMC BladeLogic Application Server, start the Application Server Administration Console (blasadmin).
Enter the following commands to enable the web services:
set AppServer EnableTomcatService true
set AppServer ValidateClientIpAddress false- Restart the Application Server.
To connect through a Universal Description, Discovery, and Integration (UDDI) server
On the BMC BladeLogic Application Server, execute the following commands to configure BMC BladeLogic Web Services registration on the UDDI server:
set WebServices RegistryServer <registryServerHostName>
set WebServices RegistryServerPort <registryServerPort>
set WebServices RegistryServerUserName <registryServerUserName>
set WebServices RegistryServerPassword <registryServerPassword>The default value for registryServerPort is 8080.
- Restart the BMC BladeLogic Application Server.
- On the BMC ProactiveNet Server, use one of the following methods to set credentials for the UDDI registry to access the BMC BladeLogic Application Server:
- If UDDI registry is set for the BMC BladeLogic Application Server:
- Log on to the BMC ProactiveNet Server as an administrator.
Access the command line and enter the following command:
pw blade setup -use_uddi -uddiuser <uddiUser> -uddipass <uddiPassword> -host <hostName> -port <portNumber> -user <BLAdminUser> -pass <BLAdminUserPassword>The default value for BLAdminUser is BLAdmin.
The default value for BLAdminUserPassword is Bladelogic.
If UDDI is not set for the BMC BladeLogic Application Server, use BMC BladeLogic Web Services by entering the following command:
pw blade setup connection -host <hostName> [-port <portNumber>] -user <userName> -pass <password>
- If UDDI registry is set for the BMC BladeLogic Application Server:
