Onboarding and implementing

BMC Helix Multi-Cloud Broker is available for SaaS and on-premises users. On-premises users must download the artifacts from the  Electronic Product Distribution (EPD) Open link  site and then proceed to setting up the requirements and then deploying the application.

SaaS users must subscribe to BMC Helix Multi-Cloud Broker to get it deployed in your environment. When you subscribe to BMC Helix Multi-Cloud Broker, BMC sends you an activation email with the following information that you need to successfully set up BMC Helix Multi-Cloud Broker:

  • A URL to your instance of BMC Helix Innovation Suite
  • Account details like user name and password
  • Links to documentation for BMC Helix Multi-Cloud Broker

For BMC Helix Multi-Cloud Broker, the URL details are as follows:

Important

  • Verify that you have access to your instances of BMC Helix Integration Service and BMC Helix Innovation Suite.
  • Ensure that you change the passwords that you received from BMC before you begin configuration.

Configuring BMC Helix Multi-Cloud Broker integrations

After you change the default passwords provided for the applications in the activation email, perform the steps as mentioned in this section.

    Important

    To implement the integration features by using BMC Helix iPaaS, powered by Jitterbit, make sure that you subscribe to BMC Helix iPaaS.

    Host BMC Helix Innovation Suite container images and token to access the images on the Electronic Product Distribution (EPD) Open link  site and make the deployment artifacts available for download.

    3 Download the artifacts required to perform the installation from the BMC Electronic Product Distribution (EPD) site. Administrator

    4 Run the HELIX_ONPREM_DEPLOYMENT pipeline. Administrator

    6 Perform preconfiguration tasks. Administrator

    After you have updated the default passwords for the available systems and performed the steps for the on premise installation, perform the following tasks:

    1. Create a BMC Helix Multi-Cloud Broker admin user.
    2. To implement the integration features by using BMC Helix iPaaS, powered by Jitterbit, install a private agent Open link for Jitterbit.

    BMC Helix Integration Service is also supported as an integration technology. To learn more about its preconfiguration tasks, see Performing preconfiguration tasks.

    Configure BMC Helix Multi-Cloud Broker based on your organization's requirements.
