Retrieving information using email queries
You can retrieve information from the FootPrints database via email by including queries in the subject line of email messages sent to FootPrints incoming email accounts. Email queries automatically return data from the default workspace identified for your system. However, you can include parameters to query other workspaces to which you are assigned. In addition, if separate email accounts exist for individual workspaces, you can send email queries to those specific accounts.

Workspace ID | WS= n | Returns information for a specific workspace where n is the ID; for example, getSchema WS=630 |
Item ID | ITEMTYPE= m | Returns information for a specific ticket item type where m is the ID; for example, getData ITEMTYPE=730 |
Ticket Queries | ||
Details of a single ticket | getTicket # | Returns the details of a particular ticket to which you are assigned; for example, getTicket 12345 |

To send an email query to FootPrints
- Type the query in the subject line of the email; for example, getTicket 12345.
- Send the email to the FootPrints incoming email account.
You will receive an email from that account with the information requested by your query.

Does getmine still work? The help button under Email Settings/Incoming Mail/Workspace "Allowed to send search commands by email:" indicates that you can use this command.
