On the Real User Analyzer, the Security user can import and export the dashboard settings of all users to capture and restore the custom dashboard configurations associated with all user accounts.
Note
This option is not available on Real User Collector.
To export the dashboard settings of all users
- On the Administration page of the Real User Analyzer, click Manage configuration, and then, click Download settings of all users.
The download starts immediately. - Follow the instructions displayed in your browser to save the file.
The file is saved. To open the file, unzip it. You can edit the XML file that defines the dashboard configuration settings of all the users of this instance.
Note
After you made changes to the XML file, add it back to the downloaded archive, replacing the old XML file.
To import the dashboard settings of all users
Importing the dashboard configuration replaces the existing dashboard settings for all users. BMC recommends that you back up the existing configuration by exporting it, before proceeding with the import.
- On the Administration page of the Real User Analyzer, click Manage configuration, and then, click Upload settings of all users.
- Select the ZIP file that contains XML and CSV configuration files.
- Click Upload.
The dashboard configuration for all users is overridden with the one defined in the configuration files.
