Configuring the cognitive summarization service

To leverage the cognitive summarization service in BMC Helix Innovation Studio and to generate a text summary, administrators must configure the cognitive summarization service. You must also subscribe to an appropriate service license to configure the cognitive summarization service.

To enable the cognitive summarization service

1. Log in to BMC Helix Innovation Studio and navigate to the Administration tab.
2. Select Cognitive and chatbot > Summarization service.

3. On the Summarization service page, enter the following details:

   Field	Description
   API endpoint URL	Enter the API URL for summarization service.
   User name	Enter the username summarization service that you are using.
   Password	Enter the password summarization service that you are using.

4. To test the connection, click Test connection.

5. After verifying the connection is successful, click Save.

To configure the cognitive summarization service

1. Log in to BMC Helix Innovation Studio and navigate to the Administration tab.
2. Select Cognitive and chatbot > Cognitive service.
3. From the Configure list, select Summarization service configuration.

4. Expand the Summarization configuration section.

5. To enable the summarization service, enable the Enable summarization service option.

6. In Summarization Percentage field, enter the percentage of sentences that you want to extract from the input text for summarization.

7. To test the connection, click Test connection.

8. After verifying the connection is successful, click Save.
