Applying Mongo DB security settings
You can restrict MongoDB access by using any combination of the following methods:

| Restricting MongoDB access by enabling authentication | BMC recommends that you apply security settings using the authentication method. You must perform these settings only for bundled Mongo DB. For replicated DB security settings are taken care of during the installation of Mongo DB. |
| Optionally, you can also use these two other methods. | |
| Storing the MongoDB password in encrypted format in the configuration file | Follow the described procedure to store the password in encrypted format. |
