Phased rollout

This version of the software is currently available only to early adopter SaaS customers as the first step in our phased rollout.

Quick start for customer administrators

As a customer administrator, you entitle services to the users in your organization. Review this quick start for an introduction to your role and the functions you perform.

Basic concepts for a customer administrator

The catalog administrator of the managed service provider company must select a user from the list of users belonging to their customers to be an administrator.

As a customer administrator, you can view all the services that are entitled to your organization, and create virtual marketplaces to distribute services to your end-users. If your catalog administrator enabled credit management, you can also view the credit balance that is calculated based on the credit-based pricing used for the services created by your managed service provider.

Essential tasks as a customer administrator

The following diagram illustrates the tasks of a customer administrator and the order in which you perform them:

Entitle users to be able to request services

You create virtual marketplaces to entitle published services, bundles, and banners to individual users and groups. The following illustration shows the Entitlements page where you create and manage virtual marketplaces:

Review statuses of service requests

To ensure that the system is fulfilling services correctly, check the status of self-service requests on the Service Requests page. You can filter service requests, and export the data to a CSV file for further analysis.
