Viewing information about a specific server in the server group

Access information about a specific server such as server version, operating system, server time, licenses, and database, by using the Server Info tab of the AR System Management Console.

For example, in a server group of 10 servers, you modify settings on server 5. These changes are easily accessible through the Server Info tab of the AR System Server Group Console.

Scenario

If an issue occurs due to updated settings on the  server, an administrator uses the Server Info tab of the AR System Management Console to check the settings on the  server and update settings on other servers, if required.

Required permissions

To access the Server Info tab, you must have either of the following permissions:

  • AR System administrator
  • Configuration administrator

The following table describes the details available for the Platform option on the Server info tab:

Field name

Description

Server Version

Displays the version number of the  on the server.
This value corresponds to the $VERSION$ keyword

Server Directory

Displays the folder (directory) where the  is installed on the server system.

Hardware

Displays the hardware platform on which the is running.
This value corresponds to the $HARDWARE$ keyword.

Server Name Alias

Specifies an alias that is always interpreted as the current server.

An alias enables you to use a functional name for a server rather than a computer name. For  example, ACME or HelpDesk).

Do not enter a fully qualified domain name. An alias makes it easier to move workflow between computers. Entering an alias in this field does not automatically assign an alias to the server. The network environment must reflect a change to the server name before entering the alias name in this field.

The alias name must be a valid host name on your network. If you change your server name alias, make sure you supply the alias to the DNS or enter the alias name in your hosts file. Otherwise, your AR System server cannot connect to the plug-in server. After you change the server environment, users can log on to the browser by using the new server alias, just like any other server name. See your network operating system documentation for information about creating an alias for the server.

Server Group

Identifies whether  upgrade is complete or not.

Valid values:

  • Done
  • Pending
  • Pending complete

Application ZDT

Indicates the status of applications upgrade in zero downtime upgrade mode.

Submitter Mode

Defines the conditions under which submitters can modify the requests they initially submit (that is, where their names are in the Submitter field).

Select one of the following options:

  • Locked — Users can modify requests they submit without a write license.
This does not apply to users with a Restricted Read license who cannot modify requests under any circumstances. In the locked submitter mode, after the entry is submitted, the value in the Submitter field cannot be changed.
  • Changeable — (Default) Users must have a write license to modify requests.

Important: Changes to the Submitter Mode settings do not take effect until the server is stopped and restarted.
