Performing a silent uninstallation of the Infrastructure Management Server

Uninstallation-related information is not displayed on the console when silent uninstallation begins. However, uninstallation occurs in the background. The progress is logged in a temporary folder during uninstallation.

Perform the following steps to uninstall the BMC TrueSight Infrastructure Management Server:

  1. From the command prompt, navigate to the following directory: 
    • (Windows) installationDirectory\UninstallTSIMServer\uninstall.exe
    • (Linux) installationDirectory/UninstallTSIMServer\uninstall

  2. Run the following command:

    • (Windows) uninstall.exe -i silent
    • (Linux) ./uninstall.sh -i silent

    The computer restarts after the uninstallation is complete. 

Note

On a Windows computer, if you do not want to restart the computer after uninstallation, run the uninstaller using the following command:

uninstall.exe -i silent -J DO_NOT_REBOOT_AFTER_UNINSTALL=true
