This topic provides information about the enhancements introduced in PATROL Agent version 20.02.

Usability improvements

PSL function to verify localhost

PATROL Agent now provides the is_local PSL function. KMs can use this function to identify if the specified host name, IPv4 address, or short name of the host computer maps to the localhost. This function is useful for device creation on local monitoring. For more information, see is_local().

Installation and upgrade

Added operating system support

PATROL Agent now supports the following operating systems:

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux version 8.1
  • SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 15
